Sleep deprivation is a cruel thing. I try to concentrate. What did this guy say to me last night? The captain makes his usual joke that somehow sounds familiar to me. Oh my goodness. Later he will certainly announce that his “party mice”, the stewardesses, will give a “performance”, the safety instructions. The engines start running. The guy sitting next to me looks like a weirdo. Strange jumper. The aircraft starts rolling and I am comfortably pushed into my seat. Now I do remember.
